SUGGESTED ITINERARY

WHAT, WHERE & WHEN

Day 1:

On arrival at either Kuusamo, Rovaniemi or Oulu Airport you will be met and transferred to the hotel. The transfer times range from 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. Check in to your accommodation and get acquainted with the facilities before enjoying a delicious evening meal in the restaurant.

Staying at: Hotel Iso Syote

Days 2-5:

Depending on how many activities you may wish to join from the Hotel, your free time can be spent on the slopes nearby. The ski centre in the resort is easily accessible by a shuttle bus from the hotel which operates twice in the morning and afternoon, with an approximate cost of 2 euros per person each way. All equipment needed can be rented on the spot. This includes a range of skis suitable for all levels, snow-boards, cross-country skis, lift passes and the option to join a group or private ski lessons.

For those wanting some downtime, enjoy relaxing by the fire; marvel at the panoramic views from the rooftop walk-way; use the Arctic Spa facilities which are free for hotel guests - with saunas, pools and a comprehensive wellness and beauty service including massages and treatments.

Days 2-5:

The winter activities take place on certain days of the week, so please enquire which ones are scheduled to operate during your stay. They include several Snowmobile safaris, husky safaris, northern lights snowmobiling, snowshoe trek, visiting a reindeer farm by snowmobile, ice fishing and a trip to Ranua wildlife zoo and Santa village. There are also snowshoes at the hotel which can be rented so you can explore the snowy surroundings at your leisure.

Day 6:

After breakfast, get ready for the return transfer to the airport and onward journey home.

We have chosen the Aurora View Suites as the accommodation for this holiday. However, there are alternative options ranging from “Reindeer” hotel rooms, Superior rooms, traditional Kelo Log Cabins, larger Fjell Top Cabins and luxurious suites - Eagles View Suite, Bear Cave Suite and Phoenix Suite.

From £1,262 per person (excluding flights), based on two adults sharing an Aurora View Suite for 5 nights on a half-board basis and includes return transfers to/from the hotel.
