The Arctic Hilltop Boutique Hotel Iso-Syote stands majestically on a fjell top with breathtaking panoramic views of the forests and lakes below. The hotel, which suffered damage from a fire in 2018, has been transformed into a modern, high class resort with excellent facilities catering for couples, families and groups of friends traveling together looking for an action packed holiday with excellent northern lights viewing potential.

Sleep Well

There are a wide range of room options available depending on your preference, whether it be style, size or budget. For your stay, we have chosen the stylish Aurora View Suites - split over two floors they have a double bed on the upper level with bathroom and seating area Downstairs is a further seating area which can be used to accommodate two further people and a bathroom with private sauna. It also has a balcony with views towards the north-east sky so you can keep watch for the dancing aurora while enjoying your very own jacuzzi.

For something extra special, there are three unique Suites at Iso-Syote Hotel, all with a double. The original Suite, “Eagles View” has glass on all sides, even the roof, offering panoramic views and is split on two floors with a private sauna and jacuzzi. The “Bear Cave Suite” has a strong essence of natural materials with large windows, two saunas, a Turkish steam sauna and a traditional Finnish one. The large living area has a fireplace to relax in, as well as a private jacuzzi. Lastly, the newest addition is the “Phoenix Suite”, decorated in tones of charcoal and ash to commemorate the fire in 2018. Relax by the open fire while gazing at the snowy landscape outside, or unwind in the hot tub, steam room and sauna.

Eat Well

All meals are served in the Hilltop Restaurant which is situated on the top floor of the hotel and showcases the spectacular views from the large windows. Guests are on half board basis, the menu combining local and traditional cuisine with a taste of international flavours.

Play Well

Iso-Syote offers lots of experiences for the perfect winter activity holiday. There are several activities that can be pre-booked at the hotel from the weekly safari program. These will be confirmed at time of checking in. All the trips are under guide supervision and include safety information if relevant and warm winter clothing. The resort is right next to the ski slopes of Syote, and guests can make arrangements to hit the slopes in their free time if they wish.

Be Well

All guests at the hotel can use the Arctic Spa facilities at the hotel. They include an indoor pool, therapy pool and hot tub. The sauna section has a traditional Finnish sauna and a steam bath, where you can relax in comfort after a day in the cold. The spa offers beauty treatments and massages - bookings need to be made in advance before arrival. Please note, you will need to bring your own swim wear.
