Laura’s love for Nordic adventure began as a teenager, captivated by the Lillehammer Winter Olympics on TV. That passion turned into a career in 2010 when she founded Magnetic North Travel. Whether exploring the mountains or unwinding by a fireplace in a cosy cabin, she’s always at home in the North and loves to share her passion with our clients.
Favourite Travel Memory: Seeing the fjords come into view for the first time surrounded by snow covered mountains and frozen waterfalls

Born and raised in northern Norway, Annie has a special connection to the breathtaking Lofoten Islands—so much so that clients often send photos of her home town during their travels. A true outdoor enthusiast, she feels most at home paddling through the fjords or hiking in the mountains.
Favourite Travel Memory:After more than a week of hoping and waiting aboard our Expedition Cruise in Svalbard, we finally spotted a majestic polar bear on the second-to-last day, making its way from the shore into the sea!
Senior Sales & Product Manager
With a passion for the North and a track record of glowing client feedback, Alex has spent his 24 year travel career in customer-facing roles. Now a critical part of the product team, his love for Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden runs deep. Beyond travel, he is the founder of Nordic Watchlist, a popular website dedicated to Nordic cinema, TV, and literature.Favourite Travel Memory: So many to mention but South Greenland sticks with me a lot; exploring viking ruins and slaloming through icebergs on a water taxi, feeling like you are the last person on earth.

Since 2006, Mike has been crafting unforgettable journeys to Scandinavia and the Nordic countries, with a brief interlude in the education sector. His keen eye for detail and deep passion for these destinations ensure that every client experience is seamless—from the first inquiry to the journey home.
Favourite Travel Memory: Snowmobiling through the Luleå Archipelago to a wilderness camp to enjoy salmon cooked over an open fire - delicious!

Marketing Manager
Elodie joined the travel industry in 2016 and hasn't looked back. Starting in high street travel agents, she has been all over the world from camping in Kenya to sailing the Mekong. However she is very pleased to now find herself in the Magnetic North, having fallen in love with Swedish Lapland in 2025.
Favourite Travel Memory: Sleeping in a glass cone in Swedish Lapland with the Northern Lights dancing over head. A moment that will stay with me forever.
