ICEHOTEL 365

Year round ice hotel

As an alternative to the winter ICEHOTEL, the Icehotel 365 just a few steps away is open all year round thanks to some cleverly concealed solar panels in the roof, keeping temperatures inside at a constant. It opened its doors in 2016, and is the first ever all year round ice room experience. This houses 9 Art Suites which share a heated area with bathroom and lockers to store your valuables. There are also 9 Deluxe Suites, the most exclusive ice room, each with an en suite warm bathroom, some with a private sauna. The Icehotel 365 also holds the magnificent Ice bar that serves cocktails from handmade glasses of ice.

Sleep Well

Sleeping on ice may seem a little strange at first, but many have said it was the best sleep they have ever had. With a bed frame, mattress, reindeer furs and an exceptionally warm sleeping bag to keep you snug, the scary thought becomes a wonderful reality. Local guides will be happy to share how best to enjoy the whole experience. We recommend spending one night of your trip sleeping in the "cold" room. The other nights will be in one of the traditional hotel rooms and chalets, offering you a warm and relaxing stay, all with private en suite facilities.

Eat Well

A culinary experience awaits - An extensive breakfast buffet is included throughout your stay, serving a selection of hot and cold dishes. Lunch is available at the restaurant with a choice of local cuisine and offers good value. In the evening you have a choice of dining experiences both inside and out. In the classic restaurant you can choose either the a la carte menu or the Ice menu. Alternatively, just a few minutes away is The Old Homestead which serves a more casual menu while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere by the open fire. At The Veranda, the chef’s table, you and other guests sit round a wooden table and are served an eight-course menu inspired by local ingredients, with the chef preparing the dishes before your eyes. For all the evening meal options we highly recommend booking a table reservation in advance.

In addition to the inside dining options, there are also outside excursions which include a meal cooked by the guide over an open fire. They include the Northern Lights Safari on Snowmobile and Winter Wilderness Dinner.

Play Well

There is a fantastic selection of winter activities which can be included during your stay at the ICEHOTEL. On each trip you will be accompanied by an experienced guide and as warm winter clothing is included throughout your stay, you’re all set to enjoy the sparkling landscape during the daytime, and marvel at the dancing Northern Lights in the evening. Ranging from husky sledding, ice sculpting, snowmobile safaris, horse riding, cross-country skiing, reindeer sleigh ride, ice fishing, sauna ritual and northern lights excursions, you’ll be keen to experience them all.

Due to the popularity of the trips, we highly recommend to pre-book the activities in advance in order to ensure availability.

Be Well

Spending time in the Arctic region gives you a sense of wellbeing. Just by being outside in the open spaces and beautiful nature, breathing in the crisp fresh air will give you a wonderful feeling. Combine this with sleeping at the ICEHOTEL, marvelling at the magical aurora borealis and spending quality time with loved ones to complete a once in a lifetime experience. Relax in the shared sauna, treat yourself to a massage, or experience the full Sauna Ritual, which includes trying everything from the sauna, washing yourself with tar soap, taking a plunge in the Torne River and sinking into pleasure in the outdoor hot tubs.
