Birk Husky Farm

Guesthouse and husky farm

The Pasvik River divides Russia and Norway in the high Arctic. On the western bank near to Kirkenes, Trine lives with her family and pack of husky dogs in this wild Arctic borderland. Her husky farm and guesthouse have been passed through the generations offering comfortable lodging and exceptional husky sledding safaris.

Sleep Well

The wooden guesthouse has seven unique bedrooms, each named after a member of Trine’s family. They are all of a Nordic style – simple, bright and comfortable. There is a communal breakfast and living room. There are no televisions in the guesthouse – just internet, printed books and the silence of nature.

Eat Well

Rustic home-cooked meals are prepared for guests using local ingredients such as king crab and hand foraged berries.

Play Well

The friendly pack of "live-in" husky dogs are never far away. Cuddles are on tap, and guests can join daytime safaris as well as overnight expeditions and snow shoe adventures.

Be Well

Fresh Arctic air and a bracing sauna provide rejuvenation between snow-bound adventures.
