QUIRPON LIGHTHOUSE INN

ICEBERG VIEWING ROOMS

Rugged beauty meets cozy luxury at Quirpon Lighthouse Inn, on deserted Quirpon Island off the northernmost tip of Newfoundland. Housed in a 1922 lighthouse keeper’s home, this clifftop inn offers spectacular opportunities for remote iceberg and whale watching.

Sleep Well

The inn features 10 four-star rooms, with ocean views, at the base of the still-operating lighthouse, which is now a Registered Heritage Building. Rooms are authentic to the original lighthouse keeper’s home, modified to meet current standards.

Eat Well

Homemade, traditional, hearty dishes are served in the dining area, family style. Dinners  feature locally caught seafood, chicken and pork. Snacks are also provided in the kitchen between meals. Special diets can be accommodated with advance request.

Play Well

Guests can enjoy the longest iceberg-viewing season in Newfoundland, easily spotting icebergs as the Labrador Current takes them south, along with 27 species of whales, such as humpbacks, minkes, and orcas. Customized hiking and Zodiac tours are also offered.

Be Well

Relax in the heated, indoor whale watching station, or take in the ocean breeze on the whale and iceberg viewing platform.
