Day 1

Your Finnish adventure begins with a transfer through the pristine winter wilderness from Ivalo airport to Wilderness Hotel Nellim. Upon arrival, your hosts will welcome you to the Arctic and provide you with the schedule of activities for your stay, before showing you to the accommodation. During your time at Nellim you will be treated to a delicious full board meal plan. Enjoy your first Lappish dinner tonight in the cosy restaurant and bar area.

Days 2-3:

This three night adventure includes several winter activities. You will receive warm winter clothing to use during your stay, and instructions and safety information on how to use the equipment provided by an English speaking guide. The following activities are included on this trip.

Husky Safari (3 hours)
An absolute ‘must do’ on a visit to the arctic is a husky safari. You will meet the eager dogs and receive instructions on how to drive the sled and once ready, you head off in pairs, one mushing the dog team and the other sitting as a passenger. Young children will be passengers on the guide's husky sled. Glide along the snowy trails and enjoy the crisp nature of the surroundings, the dogs falling silent as they run and run through the wilderness. A truly magical experience!

Meet the Reindeer (2 hours)
You will get the chance to meet a reindeer herder and his reindeer, learning all about the Sámi culture and life of a herder in the Arctic region. You will try to lasso a reindeer and have a short sleigh ride, pulled by the reindeer.
