DAY 1:

On arrival to Kajaani airport, a shuttle transfer will be waiting for you to transfer you to your accommodation, a journey of around 45 minutes. Settle into your log cabin which is located in a tiny resort at the edge of a frozen lake. Your cabin comes equipped with a sauna and log fire. Surrounded by snow, you’ll be quickly transported into the Christmas spirit as you decorate your cabin together. Dinner will be delivered to you in the evening for you to enjoy together. After dark, don't forget to look outside for any appearances of the elusive Aurora Borealis.

DAY 2:

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the snowy surroundings. Kick-sleds are available for you should you wish to explore, make a visit to the local grocery store or hit the downhill ski slopes. We can arrange ski school and passes for your group if you wish. In the nearby village, you’ll find additional facilities such as a swimming pool, children’s play centre, and bowling alley.

In the early evening, a Christmas Eve dinner will be served in the nearby Vuokatti Hotel, a magical 10 minute walk through snowy paths into the village. Today Finnish people celebrate Christmas, and you’ll join the locals for a traditional Christmas buffet - a selection of hot and cold dishes.

After dinner you'll return to your cabin in time for a visit from the man himself - Santa Claus. Santa will sit with the children inside the cabin and present a gift whilst listening to the children's stories of the year gone by. Santa's visit will be a private experience for your family and will last for approximately 20 minutes.
