In winter, combine Helsinki with Finnish Lapland for snow-covered forests, glass-roofed cabins and evenings spent searching for the Northern Lights. In summer, slow down beside a lake, cycle between Baltic islands or explore the waterways of the Turku Archipelago. Further east, the Taiga Forests offer rare wildlife encounters in deep, quiet woodland.
Wherever your journey leads, our Travel Specialists arrange each stay, transfer and experience so the trip feels seamless, varied and entirely your own.

The best time to visit depends on the landscapes and experiences you’d like. From December to April, Finnish Lapland is transformed by snow. Frozen lakes, hushed forests and long Arctic nights create the setting for husky sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and Northern Lights excursions.
From May to September, the country opens up beneath long, sunshine-filled days. Explore Helsinki, stay beside the water in Finnish Lakeland or travel through the Turku Archipelago by bicycle, kayak or boat.
The Taiga Forests are especially rewarding in the warmer months, when expert-led bear watching and wildlife photography take you deep into eastern Finland.
The right accommodation should bring you closer to the Finland you want to experience. In Helsinki, stay in a carefully chosen city hotel close to the capital’s architecture, restaurants and waterfront. Further north, choose from glass-roofed cabins, traditional log cabins, wilderness hotels and remote Arctic retreats.
Summer journeys might include lakeside cabins, forest lodges, island guesthouses and small coastal hotels, often with walking trails, cycling routes or clear water just beyond the door.
We select each stay for its setting, character and place within the wider journey. A glass cabin may create one memorable night beneath the Arctic sky, while a full-board wilderness lodge offers a relaxed base for several days of guided adventure.
Your holiday can be as active or unhurried as you choose. Winter experiences include Northern Lights excursions, husky sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, reindeer encounters and ice fishing.
In the warmer months, explore Finland’s lakes and islands by kayak, bicycle or boat. Hiking, wild swimming and wildlife watching can also be woven into the route, with specialist bear-watching and photography experiences available in the Taiga Forests.
Rather than filling every hour, we balance guided experiences with independent exploration and slower days, choosing activities for their quality, suitability and place within the journey.
