LUXURY GLASS IGLOOS
Pristine wilderness meets pampered luxury at Kakslauttanen Resort, just outside Urho Kekkonen National Park in Finnish Lapland. From spectacular glass igloos to sumptuous pine chalets, this Arctic resort is the perfect place to experience the magical Aurora Borealis.
Guests can choose from a snow igloo, glass igloo, Kelo-Glass igloo combining a pine chalet with a glass igloo, log chalet with fireplace and sauna, Queen Suite with outdoor jacuzzi, Wedding Chamber earth lodge with turf roof, Traditional House, or Gold Digger's chalet.
Traditional Lappish cuisine is served in both the Kelo Restaurant and the Aurora Restaurant, which also boasts a glass igloo bar. Groups can also reserve in the Santa Claus Celebration House, Korsu "The Underground" Restaurant, or the Smoke Sauna Restaurant.
In winter, explore the astounding Arctic wilderness and witness the Northern Lights by sled dog, reindeer, snowmobile, snow tank, icebreaker, horse, and sleigh. Go ice fishing, skiing, and snowboarding. In summer, enjoy the midnight sun while hiking, biking, and kayaking.
Relax in three separate riverside smoke saunas, all with a fireplace in the dressing room, including the largest smoke sauna in the world. To freshen up, descend through a hole in the Arctic ice and take a dip in the chilly waters at the end of the jetty.
