Game of Thrones Ice Hotel

Author: Vanessa
Location: Finland

Though Season 7 of the Game of Thrones series ended with mega cliffhanger fans might have to cherish last season's epic moments for a bit longer. HBO just confirmed that season 8 will be delayed.

Fans who still want to experience life beyond the wall can now brave the Army of the Dead in the Snow Village in Finland.  Snuggle up in rooms made of snow and ice as a bone-chilling characters White Walker gazes at you from above. Perhaps you fancy sleeping in the Braavosi Hall of Faces or plan your next big move studying a frozen map of Westeros.

What to expect:

The Snow Village welcomes guests from December until late April when the snow begins to recede. Though temperatures occasionally drop below the -20 mark the snow walls reliably insulate the rooms. Prepare for a cosy night in a warm sleeping bag and relax at a crisp room temperature ranging from -2 to -5. Usually, first-timers describe their stay as 'surprisingly invigorating'. In the morning a warm lingonberry juice brought to your room will round off the 'North of the Wall' experience.

Make it happen:

You'll be travelling to the Snow Village in Levi, Finland where you will spend one night in a Game of Thrones suite. You will spend two additional nights in a four-star hotel nearby Levi where you can take part in downhill skiing, and enjoy one dinner in the Ice Restaurant from £985 per person.
