ITINERARY

Arrive in the coastal town of Campbell River, your gateway to untamed waters, ancient temperate rainforests and thrilling wildlife encounters. Settle into your comfortable hotel and enjoy a stroll along the waterfront, or visit Elk Falls for a scenic hike.

After breakfast, board a small boat for a guided wildlife boat tour.

Guests arriving between 29 June - 22 August will experience a half-day guided marine wildlife safari, while guests arriving between 25 August - 12 September will enjoy a full-day grizzly bear wildlife tour.

Your water taxi will set off through the twisting waterways of Discovery Passage and Seymour Narrows, with the chance to spot porpoises, dolphins and whales along the way. Arrive at Orca Camp, your wilderness base for the next 3 nights, surrounded by tranquil forest and spectacular ocean views. After settling into your coastal accommodation, enjoy an introduction to kayaking.

Your knowledgeable guide will share insights into the resurgence of wildlife in this remote area and the ongoing conservation efforts. The day includes a visit to a stunning waterfall, where the adventurous can take a dip in glacial waters.

Venture across Johnstone Strait to the island opposite camp, keeping an eye out for black bears and their cubs foraging along the shore. After a day of paddling, unwind with a traditional sauna, a perfect way to end the day.
