Fly from Keflavík International Airport to Narsarsuaq in South Greenland. Upon arrival, meet your guide for a welcome briefing before transferring to Hotel Narsarsuaq for check-in. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic hike to Glacier View Point, an hour’s walk from the hotel, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Tunulliarfik Fjord, the Narsarsuaq plain, and the Kiattuut Glacier.
Spend the morning on one of South Greenland’s most famous hikes through the Flower Valley. This route offers breath-taking views of the Kiattut River and glacier, as well as a unique landscape shaped by retreating ice. After returning to Narsarsuaq, take a boat transfer to Qaqortoq, the largest town in South Greenland. A guided city tour will introduce you to its colourful houses, the famous stone carvings, and the only fountain in Greenland.
Take a scenic zodiac boat transfer to Narsaq, South Greenland’s third-largest town, passing by remote farms and waterfalls along the way. On arrival, enjoy a guided city tour, visiting the local market, fur shops, and the harbour. In the afternoon, take a short hike to admire the valley, fjords, and mountains, passing one of Greenland’s few cow farms. You’ll also learn about Narsaq’s mining history before having free time to explore the town.
Take a 4x4 jeep ride to the remote Tasiusaq farm, where just a handful of people live surrounded by ice-choked fjords. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to Qassiarsuk, home to Erik the Red’s former settlement of Brattahlid. This UNESCO-listed area provides insight into Viking and Inuit farming traditions. You’ll explore the ruins of Norse farms and learn about Greenland’s early settlers before returning to Narsarsuaq.
