After breakfast, collect the rental car and head out of the city through Uppsala County and Vastmanland before crossing into Dalarna (journey time of approximately 4 hours), perhaps stopping on route for a fika and coffee. It is also possible to arrange a private transfer to Sunnanhed, but the rental car gives you the flexibility to explore and be independent.
Other options include the Dalarna Taste Experience, a 6-course tasting menu prepared by a private chef using the finest ingredients from the area, including a paired wine selection. Or you can visit an award winning farm kitchen including a 9-course tasting menu at Bruntegarden Restaurant with stunning views over Lake Siljan.
