ITINERARY

On arrival in Vilnius, the first stop on your luxury Baltic States holiday, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located five star hotel by private car (20 minutes). Spend the next two nights in Lithuania’s elegant capital, with time to settle in and begin exploring at your own pace. Wander the atmospheric streets of the Old Town or choose a local restaurant to sample traditional Lithuanian cuisine.

This morning, enjoy a private guided walking tour through Vilnius’ UNESCO listed Old Town, offering a fascinating introduction to the history, culture and architecture of Lithuania’s capital. As part of your Baltic States itinerary, this is an excellent way to experience the character and charm that make Vilnius one of the region’s most rewarding cities to explore.

The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to discover more of the city at your own pace. Visit the striking Church of Saint Anne, wander through the hidden courtyards of the Old Town, or browse the traditional craft workshops and independent boutiques tucked away along the cobbled streets.

For a truly memorable experience, we can also arrange a hot air balloon flight over Vilnius at sunrise or sunset. One of the few European capitals where flights are permitted over the city centre, it offers a completely different perspective on Lithuania’s landscapes and historic skyline.

After breakfast, you will travel by private driver from Vilnius to Riga, the next stop on your luxury Baltic States holiday. The journey takes just under four hours and passes through the peaceful Lithuanian countryside before crossing the border into Latvia.

On arrival, check in to your centrally located hotel and take some time to settle into the Latvian capital. This evening, there is the opportunity to begin exploring Riga at your own pace, with its elegant architecture, lively squares and relaxed riverside atmosphere.

A private two hour city tour is included as part of your Baltic States itinerary, which can be taken either this afternoon or the following day depending on your preference. This offers a guided introduction to Riga’s Old Town, Art Nouveau heritage and key historic landmarks.

Vecrīga, the UNESCO listed historic centre, is not to be missed, with its cobbled streets, ornate facades and impressive churches.

As part of your Baltic States itinerary, today is free to explore the city at your own pace. You may wish to venture beyond the Old Town to discover Centrs, one of Riga’s most refined districts, where grand 19th and early 20th century architecture lines the streets. Alternatively, head to Andrejsala, a lively waterfront area known for its creative energy, restaurants and relaxed riverside terraces, perfect for an evening drink at sunset.

A private transfer will collect you from your hotel and continue your journey north along the Baltic coastline, passing views over the Gulf of Riga before crossing into Estonia. This scenic drive takes approximately four and a half hours and forms an important part of your luxury Baltic States holiday, offering a relaxed way to experience the region between capitals.

On arrival in Tallinn, check in to your luxury accommodation and take time to settle in. A private two hour introductory city tour is included and can be taken either this afternoon or the following day, depending on your preference. This provides an excellent introduction to Estonia’s capital, its medieval Old Town and key historic landmarks.

Later, enjoy your first evening in Tallinn at leisure. The Old Town comes alive in the evening, particularly around Town Hall Square, where you will find a selection of restaurants and cafés offering traditional and modern Estonian cuisine.

For a change of pace, head to Kadriorg Park, a short drive from the centre. Here you will find elegant landscaped gardens, the Kadriorg Art Museum and the historic House of Peter the Great, offering a quieter side to Estonia’s capital away from the medieval core.

You'll learn about the goods that were sold on the city's main market the Town Hall Square. In the 13th century this city also became part of Hansa, a trading union. Learn all about the trade that happened here, and also about the mummies and ghosts of the city.
 
Listen to the guide, sharing their knowledge about the historical heart of the city that began developing from a trading city in the Middle Ages to a favourite tourist destination today. You'll walk the cobbled streets of the Old Town and hear about the life of merchants, craftsmen and nobility. What rules they had to obey and where the influence of one legislation stopped and another began. Learn about traditions and the city symbol The Old Thomas, who guards the spire of the Town Hall building. 

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning in Tallinn before your private transfer to the airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your luxury Baltic States holiday, leaving you with a final impression of Estonia’s elegant capital and the wider Baltic region.
