Day 2:

After breakfast, you will transfer to a local husky kennel for a dog-sledding experience. You will receive safety information and instructions on how to handle your very own husky team. Driving in pairs, the passenger will sit comfortably on the sled with reindeer skins for warmth, while the driver takes control and heads out through the sparkling frozen winter wonderland with old pine tree forests and frozen lakes gracing the landscape. Along the route you’ll get a chance to swap drivers and take a break enjoying the magnificent scenery. Upon returning to the kennels, say a big thank you and give the friendly dogs a cuddle before enjoying a hot lunch.

Transfer back to the lodge and relax, perhaps read a book by the fire and enjoy some hot drinks, or if you prefer to be outside in the arctic nature there are snowshoes and nordic skis which guests can freely use.

In the evening, settle down for your 3-course dinner and keep a watch outside in case the aurora makes an appearance.

Day 3:

Today you’ll embark on a half-day snowmobile safari. First you will receive driving instructions and safety information on how to handle these machines before heading along snowy trails to the edge of the Arctic tundra to a viewpoint with incredible views of the wilderness and Sweden’s highest mountain range in the distance. During the trip you’ll encounter the stunning scenery, perhaps see arctic wildlife including moose and marvel at the unique light and colours of the Arctic, adding to the magic of this adventure. After the tour, you’ll head back to the lodge for a 2-course lunch.

In the afternoon, spend time at the lodge and look forward to the flavours of Lapland with a 3-course menu served in the restaurant cabin.

Day 4:

Leave the wilderness setting behind today and head back towards Kiruna where you’ll visit a Sami family and immerse yourself in the traditional lifestyle of the indigenous people of the Arctic. Learn about their culture, history and life as a reindeer herder. The experience includes a lunch by the crackling fire and a short sleigh ride pulled by reindeer through the winter wonderland.

After the visit, you continue to the iconic and magical ICEHOTEL, the very first and best of its kind. You’ll have time to visit this ice creation and marvel at the different sculptures and pieces of art, enjoying a cocktail served in the unique ice glasses at the sculpted ice bar. Afterwards, head back to the lodge to warm up before the 2-course evening meal, followed by a snowmobile trip to the mountain top where you hope to catch sight of the dancing aurora against the backdrop of mountain vistas, giving you everlasting memories of this wonderful trip.
