WHAT, WHERE & WHEN

DAY ONE:

The Inn On The Lake is reached by a scenic thirty five minute transfer upon arrival into Whitehorse. Check in is available from 3, so we recommend arriving early to make the most of your stay in this idyllic wilderness setting.

Upon arrival you will be greeted by your native hosts before a short orientation of the unique timber Inn.

DAY TWO:

Start your day as you mean to go on with freshly prepared coffee and homemade European style breakfast. The daily menu includes locally sourced produce, cereals, fruits and freshly baked goods.

Your stay at the Inn includes a range of activities the Yukon is famous for. Wrap up in winter clothing provided by the lodge before exploring the immediate winter wonderland.

Included Activities

Northern Lights Located on the edge of Marsh Lake, considered one of the premier northern lights viewing spots, the lodge is perfectly situated to enjoy the magical lights from the warmth of the building, in the outdoor hot tub or exploring the frozen lake by snowshoe. Witness the dazzling lights change from pale green, vibrant red and pink, to magnificent yellow.

Snowshoeing Strap on a pair of snowshoes to explore the nearby wilderness of the lodge. Head out onto the lake to watch the dancing northern lights or find your own winter paradise to enjoy the silence.

Snowmobiling Ride along well marked scenic trails with the Inn’s personal guide. Head out to Caribou Lake to enjoy a warming campfire, journey deep into the boreal forests or to mountain view points to witness the wild expanses of the Yukon.

DAY THREE:

The traditional way of life in the Yukon was briefly interrupted in 1897 with the discovery of gold that brought an estimated 100,000 stampeders to the area. After scaling the White Pass, the stampeders built rafts to navigate the mighty Yukon river in search of gold rush town Dawson. Learn about the history of the gold rush, as well as the building of the Alaskan Highway and First Nations culture. Discover all of this and more by adding a Whitehorse city trip to your holiday. Alternatively choose to explore the winter wilderness with optional dog sledding excursions or relax in the warm waters of Takini Hot Springs.

Dog Sledding Mushing in the crisp winter air is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Journey into the vast expanses of the Yukon in search of secluded boreal forests and giant frozen lakes.

Whitehorse City Tour Visit the capital of the Yukon, Whitehorse, to learn about the early history of the city, the frantic gold rush and First Nations cultural history. Discover more about the gold rush at the transportation museum, learning about intrepid stampeders hiking the Chilkoot Trail as well as tales of the people who built the famous Alaska Highway. The nearby Yukon Wildlife Preserve offers the opportunity to witness some of Canada’s most famous creatures including the mighty moose, lynx, arctic fox and mountain goat.

Takhini Hot Springs Bathe in the natural mineral waters of Takhini Hot Springs that flow from deep within the earth, which are uniquely odorless, giving off no sulphur smell to detract from your enjoyment

Ski Plane Flight Float above the pristine white of the wilderness in a small ski plane, spotting wildlife and famous landmarks of the Yukon.

DAY FOUR:
