Day 3:

Each morning at Lazy Bear Lodge begins with a nourishing, northern breakfast of local, organic ingredients. The lodge’s cafe uses ingredients freshly picked from their greenhouse and from local suppliers.

Today is your first opportunity to explore the nearby wilderness of Hudson Bay and the Tundra. Weather and wildlife permitting, you will disembark the boat and walk with polar bears.

The unique lodge began life in the 1990’s, created from gnarly, twisted spruce and tamarack timber left over from a forest fire. Your hosts, Wally and Dawn, built and designed this unique lodge over the next 10 years.

Day 4:

Your hosts at the lodge are passionate about preserving Churchill's abundant and wild nature. This dedication and passionate care for the abundance of Arctic wildlife can be seen in every part of the Lodge's operational mandate of sustainable tourism.

Head back out onto the same shoreline of Hudson Bay as yesterday, where hundreds of Beluga Whales come to feed, mate and give birth in the warm, shallow near-coastal waters. Observe the beautiful, friendly whales in their natural habitat as they feed on arctic char and brown trout. Enhance your Beluga Whale viewing experience by getting up close and personal with a snorkelling or kayaking excursion.
