Greenland Escape
Short Break in Ilulissat
Ilulissat means Iceberg in Greenlandic - and with good reason. Here you will find the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ilulissat Ice Fjord, a vast glacier, and ancient Inuit ruins. With its mix of modern life and traditional Greenlandic living, kayaks and dry fish are placed on racks side by side with the laundry, and thousands of sled dogs add character to the town, providing a unique atmosphere with their howls. This short break to Ilulissat includes many highlights and gives you the opportunity to view the magical Northern Lights after dark between September to March and the Midnight Sun between June to August.
