Day 1:

On arrival at Rovaniemi Airport you will be met and transferred to Apukka Resort, just a 10 minute drive away. Check in, get settled into your accommodation and relax before enjoying the evening meal at Restaurant Aitta.

Days 2-4:

There are many daytime and evening activities available at Apukka Resort to choose from. We have selected four popular activities as part of this itinerary, but you may wish to change or add others depending on your requirements. Safety information and instructions on how to use the equipment is provided by an English speaking guide.

Husky Adventure (2 hours)

Transfer to the kennels where you get the chance to meet the adorable huskies, yapping with excitement at the prospect of heading out on the snowy trails. After an introduction on how to control your own sled team, you become musher on the 7-10 km long safari through the winter scenery, enjoying the serene silence as you glide along the forest trails. Back at the kennels warm up with a hot drink and listen to stories about the life of the huskies in the area.

Aurora Hunt by Snow Train (3 hours)

Take a ride through the winter wonderland in a warm carriage of the unique Snow-train. The comfortable wagon is pulled behind a special snowmobile and heads out into the wilderness, taking you away from artificial lights to a traditional Lappish hut, situated deep in the snowy landscape. Gather around the open fire with hot drinks while keeping watch for the elusive Northern Lights.
