Snowhotel Kirkenes
The northernmost Snowhotel
Arctic wilderness and comfort combine at Snowhotel Kirkenes on the edge of Guhkesvuotna fjord in Norwegian Lapland. Nestled amid verdant forest, these unique lodgings offer a great base for exploring the snowy tundra as the Aurora Borealis glimmers green above you.
Sleep Well
Guests can choose from hand-carved igloo rooms, featuring snow art and ice sculptures at a temperature of -4°C, or Gamme cabins, which offer a large, panoramic window for viewing the Northern Lights, as well as underfloor heating, a full bathroom, and natural wood decor.
Eat Well
Local ingredients, such as reindeer, lamb, and king crab, as well as wild berries, homemade jam, and regional cheese are served in the Høyloftet Restaurant, Gabba Restaurant, and Bingen Restaurant. The unique, hand carved Icebar also offers ice cool Arctic drinks.
Play Well
Help local fishers catch red King Crab on the frozen fjord, take snowmobiles on an off-road expedition, go snowshoeing in the wintry mountains, meet the resort's white reindeer and Alaskan huskies, and go dog sledding across the white tundra, all under the Northern Lights.
