Situated in the wilderness of Finnmark, Arctic Norway, is the small and intimate Trasti & Trine boutique hotel, where guests are brought together through their love of nature, adventure and the love of everything Husky! They pride themselves on a very homely atmosphere where people gather to chat and enjoy the hospitality on offer. The focus here is very much on the husky kennels and the different experiences that guests can take part in.
Sleep Well
Accommodation and facilities have grown over the years, offering a very comfortable lodge stay with homemade traditional cuisine and cosy cabins. The one bedroom aurora cabins consist of a double room, bathroom, small kitchenette and a living room with sofa, dining table and chairs. The large windows showcase the arctic scenery beyond. There is also a larger cabin sleeping up to 5 guests with two double bedrooms.
Eat Well
Meals at the lodge are prepared by Jonny Trasti, who serves a treat of local dishes using only the best seasonal ingredients. There is either a country style option or a fine dining menu to choose from.
Play Well
The true focus at the lodge will always be dog sledding. In addition to providing experiences for tourism, they are also an active race kennels, taking part in many of the legendary dog sledding races in the arctic region. Guests visiting will always meet happy, satisfied and well trained animals. Trine loves to share her passion with everyone who visits. There are experiences to suit all - ranging from a 3 hour taste of dog sledding, a full day trip to a five day expedition.
