Hotel Järvisydän
Finnish Lakeland Resort
Hotel Järvisydän sits at the edge of Lake Saimaa in Finland’s vast lake district. Inspiration for architecture and materials comes from the resort’s untouched surroundings.
Sleep Well
Choose one of the hotel’s guest rooms or suites, some with jacuzzis, or opt for a log cabin, houseboat or glass-roofed scenery room next to the lake.
Eat Well
Hotel Järvisydän invites you to step back in time to its 17th century origins. Rustic dishes come served on wood, pottery and sizzling iron pans. The atmosphere by the open fire and candlelight adds to the theatre.
Play Well
A vast labyrinth of lakes and islands is yours to explore. The native forests brim with wildlife such as elk, wolves and bears. Enjoy gentle forest hikes or join a slow boat safari to spot the unique Saimaa Ringed Seal in the waters of Linnansaari National Park. In winter, the lake transforms into a giant ice rink with miles of channels to explore.
Be Well
The Lake spa is structured around natural rock and uses fresh lake water and ancient logs to create a warm and relaxing environment. There’s also a selection of pools and saunas as well as outdoor hot tub.
