Apukka Northern Lights Resort

Apukka Northern Lights Resort focusses on an amazing winter experience, offering several accommodation options designed for maximum aurora viewing potential. The main hotel building is rustic in style, in keeping with the surroundings, and has a comfortable reception and lounge area with a small gift shop. Restaurant Aitta is tastefully decorated featuring a large fireplace and has spectacular views of the landscape and Lake Olkka. It is highly regarded in the area, serving authentic Lappish cuisine using local and seasonal ingredients.

Sleep Well

The accommodation choices cater for the aurora enthusiast, not wanting to miss a viewing opportunity. All cabins have large windows which are heated, so there is no need to worry about snow and ice blocking the view - perfect for gazing at the dark skies. Some cabins even have a glass roof!

The options include Aurora Cabins, Aurora Queen Cabins, Aurora King Cabins, Komsio and Kammi Glass Igloo Suites, Apukka Lakeview Suites and Villa Apukka. They all differ in size, decor and facilities. Please ask our Sales team for more information on the different types available.

Eat Well

Meals at Apukka resort are served at Restaurant Aitta, tastefully decorated in a traditional rustic style with timber log walls dating back 100 years. Guests on half-board are treated to a wide selection of starters and desserts from a buffet, and a delicious main course is chosen from the daily menu. For something a little more casual the resort also has Pizzeria Kota, serving tasty pizzas with classic Italian flavours using Lappish ingredients.
