Nestled in an elevated position in the snowy forest, just steps from the frozen Lake Inari, Wilderness Hotel Nangu offers a truly amazing winter experience for a romantic getaway in Finnish Lapland.
The open plan lodge houses the restaurant and lounge area with panoramic windows on all sides, looking out to the frozen expanse. With a log burner and very comfortable seating this is the perfect place to relax and unwind after spending time enjoying winter adventures or seeking the magical dancing aurora.
Sleep Well
At Hotel Nangu the accommodation options include a Wilderness room, Superior room, Superior room with sauna, Aurora Cabin and Panorama Log Cabin which we have chosen as the base for our holiday packages. The Log Cabins are semi-detached and spacious, each accommodating two persons. They are equipped with a bathroom, private sauna, small kitchenette, interior fireplace and their own jacuzzi on the terrace for the ultimate luxury stay in the arctic.
Eat Well
All the inclusive packages are based on full board, starting with an evening meal on your arrival day to breakfast on your last day. During the winter season, breakfast and lunch are buffet style, while dinner is table service. The beautiful log restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere and views of the surrounding snow-clad forest.
Play Well
Immerse yourself in the winter experience with several wonderful activities included in your stay for those opting for the set package options. They take you outside into the snowy forests and on the frozen lakes and can include husky sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice-fishing, nordic skiing and meeting the reindeer. Not to mention the possibility to search for the northern lights in the starry skies. The exact activities included will be confirmed when booking, and the daily schedule will be advised on arrival at the hotel. Full instructions will be provided by the qualified English speaking guides.
Be Well
Being out in the fresh air gives you a sense of well-being, but when visiting Finnish Lapland, no trip is complete without trying the traditional sauna which is available for all guests using the shared facilities on site. However, certain room types also have their own private sauna if you wish, as well as your own jacuzzi for that added touch of luxury.
