An absolutely amazing trip completely surpassed all of our expectations. Everything ran so smoothly right from the booking process, airport pick ups, hotel accommodation through to the booked activities at the lodge. I would highly recommend this trip and a stay at the Arctic Panorama Lodge, you wont be disappointed. Now just need to plan a trip back!

The whole trip from start to finish went very smoothly. The Arctic Panorama lodge, the hosts and helpers were all fabulous. The lodge was extremely comfortable and the views stunning. All the excursions were well organized and what was lovely was that it wasn't run to a rigid time table like you can get on bigger organized tours. I would certainly recommend it.

Four of us travelled to the Arctic Panorama Lodge and had a wonderful time. We were incredibly fortunate with the weather which was perfect throughout our stay and we had 2 nights of spectacular Northern lights displays. Of course, you never know if you will see them, we were just lucky, but we enjoyed all the activities which gave us the opportunity to get off the beaten track and appreciate the stunning scenery. Sven, the host at the lodge, is a great character and full of stories. The lodge itself is comfortable and warm with hearty local food. Even the clothing they provided was great and kept us cosy Magnetic North were also very organised. We found them helpful and the trip good value. If we had chosen a holiday without full board, it would have been expensive as prices are high in Norway for food and drink

We have just got back from our amazing trip to Arctic Norway seeing the Northern Lights and the killer whales. Angela at Magnetic North completely "nailed the brief", gave us excellent advice and nothing was too much trouble. As a result our holiday fulfilled all expectations!!! The itinerary worked perfectly, the accommodation at the Arctic Panorama Lodge was fantastic and the sights at the Lyngen Alps were breathtaking!!! We can not recommend Magnetic North highly enough!!!

The lodge was amazing and we were lucky enough to see the Northern lights on day one. Travel from Tromsø to the lodge does take a while but Svein was great company and he even introduced us to the delights of brown cheese waffles on one of the ferries! The lodge itself offers cosy family style accommodation where guests are encouraged to share common spaces and all sit together at meal times. The food, all made by Aud is FANTASTIC! In just 3 days we had some real Norwegian classics; moose meatballs, fresh fish caught in the fjord that day and fårikål (lamb & cabbage stew). Breakfast was continental style with home made bread and delicious smoked salmon from the fjord. There are a couple of lovely marked hikes straight from the lodge that take you just a couple of hours and if you want something more adventurous then Svein will be happy to advise. All in all our 3 night trip was too short, but we will definitely be planning a return visit.

Excellent short break holiday above Arctic Circle. Definitely an authentic experience. Enjoyed meeting some of the locals in the Lyngen region and being part of their way of life. Magnetic North were very helpful and knowledgeable, would recommend them.

We had a super experience, family of 4, Mum, Dad, two girls in their 20's. Arranging the travel through MN, nothing was too much trouble. Booking seats for all flights and information about airport baggage handling in Oslo. We missed the chance to book London Tromso direct, but the stop in Oslo became part of the trip. There is a good 3.5 hour trip from Tromso airport to accommodation, with three ferries, the last a fishing boat, all part of the adventure. We were hosted by Sven and Ut at the Arctic Panorama Lodge in Skjervoy between Christmas and New Year 2015. The accommodation, think high class ski chalet, so clean and with good communal areas to get to know the other guests. The bedrooms were a reasonable size, the bathroom excellent, so you can get away from the others too :-) The food, typical Norwegian, what else! Well prepared. A tip :If you are a vegetarian be sure to make that clear in advance.We took the Snow mobile experience with Anders on Skjervoy, what a nice man, made us feel so welcome and the Dog Sled Safari (with Christina) including tacking up the sled and dogs, driving, then untacking and feeding the dogs at the end of the day; a unique and memorable experience. The clothing supplied was excellent (books and thermal suit) you will need good gloves and thermals (think skiing in January). We even saw a few northern lights. So if you have a bit of a spirit of adventure, willing to go with the flow and assimilate, but with a hot shower and comfortable accommodation at the end of the day this is for you.

This was a most excellent experience in beautiful Northern Norway. The team at Magnetic North could not have been more helpful and special thanks to Kirsi for taking the time and trouble in answering our particular needs on the trip. It is rare these days to find a company that is genuinely committed to helping you have the best experience on your travels and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. We also got to see the Northern Lights which were truly breathtaking !

Laura put a perfect trip together to see the northern lights in Norway. it was a perfect balance of adventure and luxury and all the details were taken care of. could not have asked for a better experience - We had one conversation with Laura and she came back with an outstanding itinerary and we were able to do many different things - fantastic Lyngen Lodge, the hurtigruten boats, the snow hotel and Oslo. - loved every minute - hope to work with her again on another fantastic trip
