The ultimate Arctic hideaway

Treehotel and Baltic Sea Glamping

Enchanting, captivating and whimsical. The Treehotel plays homage to Scandinavia’s love of design, love of fun and deep love of nature. Each of the individual tree rooms blends in seamlessly to the untouched Boreal Forest of Swedish Lapland. Enjoy a ‘bird’s eye view’ with unique tree rooms hidden away in the canopy. Here you’ll experience nature at your finger tips, yet also luxury design ideals and a chance to relax.

To add the metaphorical cherry on top we recommend spending your final night on the frozen Baltic Sea. Enjoy a magical dinner prepared by a private chef before dozing off miles away from civilisation and that little bit closer to the universe.

This Aurora honeymoon is perfectly positioned to be tailored to your exact requirements and includes two nights in the Treehotel and one night on the frozen Baltic Sea.

DAY 1:

Arrive in Luleå. You’ll be picked up from the airport and transferred to the Treehotel which is a drive of around one hour. Enjoy the wintry landscapes and overnight in a tree room of your choice. You can choose the same accommodation each night or a combination of more than one room.

As night falls, try and catch your first glimpses of the Northern Lights in the dark skies.

DAY 2:

Wake up in the trees and enjoy a fabulous view across the Boreal forest. Breakfast is served in the nearby guesthouse by your hostess Britta. Today you can choose from our menu of winter activities including dog-sledding, horseback riding, snow mobiling and more. Or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We'll tailor your trip to your requirements.

Overnight in a tree room.

All the rooms have a unique view on the surrounding forest and valley. The interior of each Tree Room is uniquely designed by the architect, with its own furniture and lighting to complement the individual theme.

The Birds Nest
Round and cosy hidden in the trees, the Bird’s nest is a perfect little hideaway for lovebirds of all ages or families with imaginations that like to run wild. Inside you’ll find a double bed and a further bunk bed. The interior, on the other hand, is familiar and exclusive. It’s a spacious environment where a family with two children can comfortably spread their wings. The walls are clad with wood panels and the windows almost disappear in the exterior’s network of branches. The room is 17m² and has separate bedrooms, bathroom and living area. You enter the Bird’s Nest by way of a retractable staircase.

The Cabin
Waking up to a view of the Lule River Valley at the end of one’s bed in the morning is a true luxury and the Cabin’s unique selling point. The Cabin is reached along a suspended bridge high in the canopy which is remarkable in itself. The room is 24m² and accommodates two people, with a double bed, bathroom and terrace on top of the roof.

DAY 3:

Enjoy a lazy morning, with a delicious breakfast and a little leisure time. This afternoon you will depart for an exciting night under the stars and, if conditions are right, the Northern Lights.

You will meet your guide, who will take you out across the frozen sea, far from any light pollution, to your private glamping spot on the ice. Awaiting your arrival is a private Hideaway Restaurant, your luxury overnight yurt and sauna cabin. After some time to relax, settle in and maybe a little snowshoe walk across the snow covered ice, your guide will cook a mouth watering 3 course meal, accompanied by wine and beer, all served in the comfortable mobile restaurant. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy as you please, as the guide will depart to return at an agreed time the next morning to cook breakfast. Spend the night in your cozy yurt and hopefully enjoy some amazing Northern lights displays right overhead.

DAY 4:

Wake to the sounds of breakfast being prepared by your guide, after a magical night under the stars. Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Or extend your stay in Sweden with extra nights in Luleå or at the Treehotel.

Optional activities
Snow mobiling
Horseback riding
Snow shoeing

Northern Lights activities

The Mirrorcube
The giant 4x4x4 metre mirrored walls reflect the surrounding landscapes thereby blending in seamlessly to a truly stunning panorama. An invisible infrared film prevents wayward birds from colliding with the cube. The interior is made from plywood with a birch surface. The six windows provide a stunning panoramic view. The Mirrorcube offers excellent accommodation for two people with a double bed, bathroom, lounge, and rooftop terrace. A 12-metre-long bridge leads up to the treeroom.

The UFO is in contrast to the other rooms which blend in with the forest – this one is a true alien specimen and perfect for space lovers young and old. The UFO is built for five people, two adults in a double bed and three children, with separate beds, bathroom and living area.

The Blue Cone
Stylish in design and practical in nature, the Blue Cone offers a secluded spot to enjoy the Lapland views. There are four beds, with a separate sleeping loft, bathroom and living room. The Blue Cone is particularly suited to those who’d prefer to stay closer to ground level or perhaps need ease of access which is via a flat bridge. The room is a traditional wooden structure with three foundations in the ground to give a sense of height and lightness, but also stability.

Treehotel and Baltic Sea Glamping

The holiday was absolutely amazing, we both had the best holiday of our lives it was so magical and perfect. We have both fell in love with Sweden and the people. Your help and organisation was absolutely brilliant and really helpful that all the transfers were already booked and paid for. From having the itinerary printed out for us step by step to you being in contact and always getting back to us promptly I really felt very looked after by you and your company. Each hotel we stayed at was amazing and couldn't of asked for any more to be honest.
