WHAT, WHERE & WHEN

Day 1

Arrive in Copenhagen and make your way into the city centre using the train or metro service from the airport. Check in to your budget hotel, a comfortable base to begin your adventure. If you’d prefer a hotel upgrade, simply let our team know, and we’ll be happy to provide options.

Once settled, take some time to explore the city at your own pace. Stroll along the iconic Nyhavn harbour, visit the historic Tivoli Gardens, or rent a bike to get a feel for Copenhagen’s famed cycling culture. Enjoy the city's relaxed atmosphere and prepare for your cycling journey, which begins tomorrow in Svendborg.

Day 2

In the morning you will catch the train from Copenhagen central station to Svenborg.You will then check into your hotel in Svendborg, ideally situated for exploring the city or enjoying outdoor activities along Svendborg Sound.

You can walk, cycle, or take a scenic trip on the M/S Helge, which allows you to bring your bike and stop at Valdemar's Castle on the island of Tåsinge. Tåsinge offers more to discover, including the historic love story of Elvira Madigan and Sixten Sparre and the charming skipper's village of Troense.

Day 3

Departing Svendborg, your route follows the scenic stretch along Svendborg Sound. The journey to Fåborg takes you through the unspoiled landscapes of South Funen, offering views of the Archipelago, small hidden gems, picturesque villages, and natural surroundings. Along the way, you’ll pass a large estate with an impressive park.

Day 4

Spend the day exploring the South Funen Archipelago. From Fåborg, enjoy a scenic boat ride with views of several islands, including Als, before arriving in Søby on the northern part of Ærø. Cycle to Marstal, with optional stops at Voderup Klint or Ærø Bryggeri in Riise. After exploring the maritime town of Marstal, follow the coastal route to Ærøskøbing, known for its cobbled streets and well-preserved historic houses. End the day with a return ferry to Svendborg.

Day 5

After breakfast get your train back to Copenhagen airport, however, if you wish to extend your stay then speak to one of the sales team who will be able to suggest options available to you.
