Glamping in Fjord Norway

Kick back in a traditional lavvo tent in the heart of Fjord Norway. The lavvo tent has served as a home to the semi-nomadic Sami people since centuries. Until today, Sami pitch up the tent made from reindeer leather as they follow the herds across borders.

In Aurland 292, a boutique lodge nestled at the bottom of UNESCO-protected Aurlandfjord you can now spend the night in a cosy lavvo tent. Enjoy pristine nature, amazing local food (try the homemade goats cheese), first-class outdoor activities and your welcoming hosts, Tone and Bjorn.

How to make it happen:

Travel to Aurland 292 and add 2 nights glamping - £395 extra per person on top of the current package.

Price includes a three-night stay in 292 Aurland twin or double room, two-night stay in glamping Lavvo, full board meals, one full and one half-day guided hike/activity, one use of wood-fired sauna and free use of bicycles. Guests also receive their personalised trip notes via the Magnetic North Travel's app that works wherever they are.

Yurting in Hardanger

Hardanger has two national parks, tons of waterfalls and azure blue waterways reminiscent of the Mediterranean to its name. In other words, it’s the perfect setting for a glamping adventure. Guests can experience stunning Hardanger in a quirky yurt, furnished with antique or homemade furniture, a fire spot and views over the surrounding fjords. The yurt comes with a 100-year-old cafe and wi-fi.

How to make it happen:

Travel to Hardanger and add 2 night of 'Yurting at an extra £195 pp on top of the current package.

Glamping near Stockholm

If escapism is on top of your glamping agenda, we know of an island hideaway, located at the fringes of the Stockholm archipelago. Hidden amongst the trees you might struggle to spot the canvas tents as you approach on the ferry. The tents provide the romance, nature caters for the adventures. We recommend hopping on a kayak!

How to make it happen:

Three-night stay in Fejan Canvas Hotel in twin or double luxury tent, breakfast and dinner, kayak hire for the duration of the stay, car hire for 4 days from Stockholm Arlanda. Guests also receive their personalised trip notes via the Magnetic North Travel's app that works wherever they are.

The price of this holiday is currently £895 per person based on two adults travelling.
