Husky-sledding Holiday
Dog-sledding in Finnish Lapland with Tinja and the Siberian Huskies
The Siberian Husky is recognised by its thick double coat, triangular ears and sickle-shaped tail. Echoing the outline of a wolf, the dogs are energetic and hardy, having originated from the harsh Eastern Siberian wilderness. You’ll find some descendants of this rugged breed in the North Eastern region of Finnish Lapland. Here a lady named Tinja, lives with her Siberian Huskies and every winter travels on overnight voyages with the pack of dogs. You can join her on a three day mushing adventure traversing the unspoilt forested area of the Lemmonjoki National Park where you’ll find deep white snow and glistening trees. The itinerary is available between January and April and dates are on request. The trip can be combined with other husky or snow adventures in Finland and Norway.
