Artists finish off the magical atmosphere with their creations of ice sculptures throughout the hotel. On clear winter nights the Northern Lights can be seen dancing in the night skies. In Norwegian Lapland, the Igloo Hotel is the perfect setting for your Arctic experience. Coupled with the Aurora Borealis in the night sky, with its hues of green, pink and purple, this is an experience to cherish.
The temperatures inside the igloo remain constant between minus 4 and minus 7. You’ll snuggle up below natural reindeer-hides and sleeping-bags for a night to remember.
This experience is tailor made according to your wishes. You’ll stay for one night in the Igloo Hotel and one night in Alta. Due to the airline timetable, there is an overnight stop in Oslo during the outbound journey. The Snow Hotel can also be combined with a short stay in the city of Tromsø, a 35 minute flight or overnight ferry on the Coastal Steamer. Day one
Travel to Oslo and stay overnight either in the city or at a hotel near to the Airport.
Day two
Fly to Alta in the morning and arrive before midday. Check in to your hotel in Alta before leaving for one of our bookable excursions.
Day three
Depart Alta in the evening and travel to the Igloo Hotel. Check into your room before receiving a guided tour of the hotel. You’ll also have dinner at the hotel before settling down for the night in your frozen chamber.
Day four
Before breakfast take a refreshing sauna. Transfer to the airport and return.
Inclusions
This trip starts at £369 per person based on two people sharing a room (excluding flights) including 3 night’s accommodation, breakfast, and airport transfers. The single supplement is £99. For additional nights in the hotel in Alta, the price is £69 per person. Flights start at £200 per person return with Norwegian Air.
